Untitled Document. As part of the University of California's systemwide Student Academic Preparation and Educational Partnership (SAPEP) efforts, UCLA's APEP programs work with K- 1. CAHSEE), to completing UC and CSU A- G eligibility required courses and taking prescribed tests to achieve UC and CSU eligibility, to graduation; community college students to meet university transfer requirements and community colleges to develop a transfer culture; and university undergraduate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to prepare them to assume positions of leadership in academia, industry, government and public service following the completion of a doctoral degree, preferably at the University of California. The campus APEP co- chairs are responsible for coordinating campus units engaged in Pre- K – 1. APEP activities, coordinating with other campus units that can assist these efforts, reporting to the UC Office of the President on UCLA's APEP efforts, and well as serving as the main source of information and referral for campus vis- . The co- chairs meet with an Executive Committee comprised of representatives from key APEP- funded programs monthly, and the APEP Program Committee comprised of leaders of campus APEP programs and other campus programs that partner with APEP twice annually.

The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is an academic preparation program established in 1976 by the University of California to expand postsecondary education. EAOP provides academic enrichment programs to approximately 500 students a year. The Early Academic Outreach Program has partnered with schools.
